Larry's BIG 3-0!

We celebrated Larry's 30th birthday at Falcon in Hollywood. We did a combined birthday with Derek since they're only a week apart and we have a lot of the same friends. It was really nice to get away and hang out again like we used to.

Baldy

We decided to shave Ethan's hair because he had a little bald spot in the back of his head. He didn't have much hair to begin with... at least now it will grow out thicker and more even.

Family fun day!

Us new parents, The Lee's, The Nguyen's, and The Doi's went to Redondo Beach to hang out. We're very fortunate that our friends had kids around the same time we did so we can go to family fun places and share our parenting stories.

We had crab at the Korean restaurant on the pier and it was delicious!

Awww... how cute!!! Stroller Dad's!!!

Happy Birthday to Me!

My Girlfriends took me to Sushi Roku for my birthday. The food was pretty good! It's always nice to see the girls since we don't get together much anymore.

The dessert was really yummmie!

Then on Saturday, Larry threw me a bbq at home. I appreciate all the hard work he put into it. He spent so much time preparing, marinating, and bbqing. I'm so lucky to have such a wonderful husband! :)

Cheers!

Arboretum with Friends

Last week, my girlfriends and I went to the Arboretum with our sons. It was a nice day out strolling our kids around the park. Our kids are really close in age. The oldest one is Conner 9 months, Ethan at 4 months, and Landon at 2 months. It's great for Ethan to have homies that are around his age.

Ethan and Landon are sleepin in their stroller.

My "21st" Birthday :P

We celebrated my "21st" birthday the other day. We went to a Chinese restaurant. Food was alright but the service sucked. I would have taken a family picture on my birthday but my Mom couldn't let go of Ethan the whole night. So, I don't have a picture with Ethan but it's ok. As long as she was happy!

Grandma and all the grandkids.

Crab Floatie

In our 100 degree weather we decided to take Ethan to the pool. We got him a crab floatie and he loved it. I thought he would have been scared going in the pool for the first time, but he totally enjoyed it. I would have kept him in longer but his little toes started turning into prunes.

Having so much fun he's drooling...

Like Father like Son... they both love the water.

Red Egg!

On April 12th we celebrated Ethan's one month red egg luncheon with our close friends and family. It's a Chinese tradition that we celebrate and give red eggs as a symbol of his changing process in life and the round shape of the egg is the symbol of a harmonious and happy life. The eggs are made red because it represents happiness in Chinese culture. That was a little history for you if you didn't know what it was for. Actually I didn't either, that's why I looked it up. Hehehe...

Ok, so that's the real story behind the red egg celebration... What we told our friends (that are not Chinese) is that they need to bring a red egg to our luncheon and there will be a contest and whomever has the most creative egg wins a prize, that's why it's called the red egg luncheon. Some friends were stressing out because they weren't sure if we were serious or not and even called our other friends the day before the luncheon to see if they're bringing an egg or not. Only one friend was gullible enough to fall for it...

Teresa & Dave won the contest! Unfortunately there was no prize. Sorry guys, didn't think you'd really bring an egg...

Anyway, Ethan slept most of the time and didn't fuss much. He was so cute in his little outfit. He was such a good boy!

My little fatty!

I took Ethan to the doctor's for his one month check up and guess how much weight he gained? 3 pounds! The doctor said that babies should be gaining 1 ounce a day, but of course my son gains 2 ounces a day! At least he's a healthy baby.

Our New Addition

After seven and a half hours of labor, little Ethan James Lee was born on March 1st, 2008 at 10:29pm weighing 6lbs 11oz and 19 inches long. Seeing him for the first time was surreal. I couldn't believe this little person was growing inside of me. It was love at first sight. He is the most precious thing I've ever seen! Larry and I are proud parents.

The next day we had many visitors. Ethan is so lucky to have such wonderful uncles and aunts.

Ethan at 7 days... such a sweetheart!
