Red Egg!

On April 12th we celebrated Ethan's one month red egg luncheon with our close friends and family. It's a Chinese tradition that we celebrate and give red eggs as a symbol of his changing process in life and the round shape of the egg is the symbol of a harmonious and happy life. The eggs are made red because it represents happiness in Chinese culture. That was a little history for you if you didn't know what it was for. Actually I didn't either, that's why I looked it up. Hehehe...

Ok, so that's the real story behind the red egg celebration... What we told our friends (that are not Chinese) is that they need to bring a red egg to our luncheon and there will be a contest and whomever has the most creative egg wins a prize, that's why it's called the red egg luncheon. Some friends were stressing out because they weren't sure if we were serious or not and even called our other friends the day before the luncheon to see if they're bringing an egg or not. Only one friend was gullible enough to fall for it...

Teresa & Dave won the contest! Unfortunately there was no prize. Sorry guys, didn't think you'd really bring an egg...

Anyway, Ethan slept most of the time and didn't fuss much. He was so cute in his little outfit. He was such a good boy!
